Our organization is formed exclusively for charitable purposes including:

- Operate a community based organization committed to providing programs and activities such as Camper Ships, Scholarships, Adopt-A-Family Christmas Program, Thanksgiving Food Basket Giveaway Program, Widows Mother’s Day Brunch Program, Support Little League Baseball, Job Readiness Program, “Feeding the Community” Program, and support for the Community of Westchester County in any other way possible.

- Cooperate and collaborate with agencies and organizations to better assist in providing opportunities and services for the community.

- Solicit grants, donations, sponsorships and collaborations to serve as an avenue to provide services to the residents of Westchester.

- Soliciting funds, grants and contributions from government agencies, businesses, organizations and individuals to assist in the funding of the goals and objectives of the organization.

- To sponsor activities for kids during the summer and grant scholarships.

Over the past 5 years we have been able to accomplish the following:

1. We host a Widow’s Mother’s Day Brunch provide and stipend for 25 widows.
2. Our annual Easter Egg Hunt has been one of the largest in the community, in the past year we have developed a partnership with several community based organizations to sponsor the program with much success.
3. Our Thanksgiving Food Basket Giveaway program provided food baskets for some 600 families. This year we are able to provide 80 complete food baskets to primarily single family households.
4. Our “Feeding the Community” program assures that anyone wanting a hot meal can receive one at no cost. We serve some 125 individuals two times each month for a total of more than 3000.
5. The Luther V. Garrison Sr. Scholarship Program awarded more than 150 scholarships to incoming college freshmen. During this period we have had more than 450 applicants. Our scholarship program is designed to assist these freshmen with the necessities and instill the confidence for them to stay in school.
6. Our Christmas program is geared toward single parent households. We provided food baskets including a turkey and the trimmings to some 75 families and we also provided a game, a book, and a toy for more than 1,500 children under 17 years of age. Also, a hot lunch is also provided for 250 individuals.
7. Due to the high unemployment rate among young individuals in this community we will sponsor a Job Readiness Program. Our Job Readiness Program will provide five (5) week sessions for 10 participants each session. Our expectations are to place each participant in a permanent job at the end of each session. If for any reason we are unable to find employment for any participant, we will continue to work with that participant until he or she is employed.
